Wow, who would have thought simple stamping would be so difficult! Stampin' Up! set us a challenge at the beginning of the year to go back to the basics and share some #simplestamping projects.
Well every time I've made a card I've had this in mind, so today I finally told myself I had to make a simple stamping card. The criteria this month (July 2019) was 'any occasion' but you are only allowed to use Stamps, Inks and Paper, with a little twist, some Designer Series Paper (DSP).
OMG!!! What a challenge. This is my third attempt and the only one I could stop the temptation of adding die cuts, ribbon, sparkles and embellishments. It doesn't feel that long ago that I couldn't do anything other than simple stamping but now it's the hardest thing in the world and a good way to remind demonstrators where we all started.
I stamped directly on to the card base and just added the DSP on a strip of Night of Navy card stock.
I did really enjoy the challenge and will give it another try soon. It would be lovely if you would join me in the challenge too. It's good going back to basics.
Here are the other two cards I made today that failed the challenge.
